What Does Love Want From Me?

I've been studying the feminine and masculine polarities, what it means to be in your “feminine,” what it means to be in your “masculine.”

Btw, we each have feminine and masculine energy. These terms aren't gendered. They encompass a way of holding space for the experience (masculine) or being in the experience (feminine).

Each of us are on a journey to harmonize these energies, to know when to hold the space for ourselves/others, and when to be in our aliveness.

There are three stages of expressing from these energies. And, if you're still reading, you're likely awakening from the basic expression to the transcendent or divine expression.

Pull up a chair because you're about to get transcendent.

Whether you consider yourself mostly masculine or mostly feminine, here are three super simple questions to assess where you are. These questions basically define the stages AND they help you shift your stage or frequency in, like, every part of your life.

Okay, here we go. Here are three questions to shift every part of your life—and also transcend the polarities within you:

Stage 1: What do I want from this experience?

Stage 2: What do we want from this experience?

Stage 3: What does love want from this experience?

In stage 1, we focus on getting our own needs and desires met. There's nothing wrong with that. But it gets complex when we focus here 100%.

In stage 2, we focus on serving a relationship, romantic or otherwise. This is a beautiful space where we seek compromise and allow space for the other's needs and desires. There's nothing wrong with that either.

But everything gets better when we move to stage 3!

In stage 3, we focus on serving the energy of love.

This is when we detach from our desired outcome—or the desired outcome of another—and allow what wishes to move through us to actually move through us.

And since your soul is love—I mean, it literally surfaces as the language of love—when you choose to serve the energy of love, you choose to live from the soul.

In doing so, you transcend the binary. You release yourself from:

The yes or the no.

The wrong or the right.

You simply radiate your energy. You make the best choices in the moment. You take actions that inspire you, and then… You allow life to present itself to you.

That's basically what living from the soul is like.

I am sharing this with you now because we can all use more love and we can all make more decisions from love. As well, we are about to enter an even more challenging span of time (in America, anyway, but it impacts the whole world).

And I invite you to allow this question of love to lead your life—as it does mine now.

I pasted it to the top of my to-do list.

It guides my business decisions.

I ask it before a big life choice.

I ask it before a tough conversation.

Here are three ways to position the question—use what feels good.

— What does love want from me?

— What is love asking of me?

— What would love do in this situation?

That's my offering to you on the altar between us. I invite you to allow love to lead every part of your life.
